CARDIFF

Notre journal de bord commence maintenant, in english of course!

FRIDAY, 7th.

Today we woke up at 8am, got dressed quickly and had breakfast at around 8.30am. We left our hostel at around 9am and went to get information and change money. We visited Cardiff Castle and we have been very lucky with the gorgeous weather! Cardiff Castle is a medieval Normand castle, it has been renovated throughout the centuries and entirely refurbished thanks to the Marquis of Bute.

After the visit we were starving, so we bought delicious industrial sandwiches and drinks in a Spar shop. We had to find a nice place where to eat so the whole group decided to go to Cardiff Castle park. It is also an arboratorium, a fresh and sunny place with different kinds of trees.

After lunch, we divided into two groups. One of the groups was supposed to go to the Millenium Stadium and the other one went to look for something to do in the evening. Unfortunately, the visit of the Stadium had to be booked in advance, so instead the group went for a walk into town on their own.

At 5pm, we went to take the Waterbus (a sort of flyboat) but as there weren't enough seats on the boat, some people went back to the hostel to chill out. The Waterbus group arrived to Cardiff Bay and had a walk along the quays.

At 7pm, the two groups met again at an Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was cool and funny. In the afternoon, one group heard about a concert in a pub so we decided to spend the evening there; two musicians played guitar and sang accoustic rock. Almost everybody found it great, and even though the concert was a bit short, we all had a great night out!

Ainsi s'achève le récit de notre aventure galloise, samedi nous sommes arrivés a Dublin après un long voyage en train, ferry et bus. A bientôt pour un nouvel épisode!
